Primary human CD14+ monocytes were isolated from umbilical cord blood (CB) mononuclear cells (MNCs) using positive immunomagnetic separation techniques. CB was collected using citrate-phosphate-dextrose (CPD) as an anticoagulant. Stem cell purity is determined post thaw using a FACS assay. Cell count and viability are determined using AO/PI. Cells are collected from healthy donors following IRB protocols.
